Wax recommendation Engadin Skimarathon 08.03.2026

The snow is currently still very cold. For Sunday, March 8, around -5 °C expected during the day the temperatures rise up to about 5 °C. The snow, as experience shows, will tend to remain cool in the morning.


Starting waves A0 – D10

Primer

Hotwax cold

  • With iron on 140 °C iron in

  • At least Let cool for 6 h

  • With a Cleanly pull off the plexiglass blade

  • With a Brush out well with a steel or copper brush

Powder (optional – for more performance)

Medium powder

  • Sprinkle powder like a spice on the topping so that everything is covered.

  • With an iron on 160 °C iron in

  • At least Let cool for 30 minutes

  • With a Cleanly pull off the plexiglass blade

  • With a Thoroughly brush out with a steel or copper brush

Elle coller

Pegar medio

  • With a Fleece or some toilet paper apply homogeneously on the ski

  • Let it dry for 15-20 minutes

  • With a Brush out well with a steel or copper brush

Finalizar Bloque

Block medium

  • One rub a thin layer onto the coating

  • With Cork or Merino rotary brush work in well
    (Attention: Cork generates a lot of heat)

  • With Polish nylon brush


Start waves E11 – H28

Primer

Cera caliente mediana

  • With iron on 140 °C iron in

  • At least Let cool for 6 hours

  • With a Cleanly remove the plexiglass blade

  • With a Brush out well with a steel or copper brush

Coller

Paste medium

  • With a Fleece or some toilet paper apply evenly on the ski

  • Let dry for 15-20 minutes

  • With a Brush thoroughly with a steel or copper brush

Finish Block

Bloque medio

  • A rub a thin layer on the coating

  • With Cork or Merino rotary brush integrate well
    (Attention: Cork generates a lot of heat)

  • With Polish nylon brush
